Subject:  Request for Proposals for development of the 2014-2037 Regional Transportation Plan

It is the intent of the Yuma Metropolitan Planning Organization (“YMPO”) to solicit Request for Qualifications for the 2014-2037 Regional Transportation Plan.  The purpose of this RFQ is to obtain the services of a public consulting firm, whose principal officers are engineers and planners certified or licensed, and registrants of and in good standing with the State Board of Technical Registration and performing in Codes and Rules, hereinafter referred to as the “offeror” to undertake and develop the 2014-2037 Regional Transportation Plan of the Yuma Metropolitan Planning Organization, hereinafter referred to as “YMPO”.

The Offeror is required to prepare documents in accordance with, but not limited, to the Department of Transportation Part III, Federal Highway Administration, 23 CFR parts 450, 500 and the Federal Transit Administration, 49 CFR Part 613 and any other guidelines as may be determined by the Offeror from a review of our list of programs.

All proposal packages must be received by the Yuma Metropolitan Planning Organization office no later than 3:00 p.m. on June 4, 2012.  I have enclosed the RFQ packet for your review.  If you should have, any questions please contact us.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Yuma Metropolitan Planning Organization (YMPO) hereby gives notice of a 30-day comment period for the draft 2013 Unified Work Program and Budget beginning May 3, 2012 and ending June 1, 2012.  A public meeting will be held at 1:30 PM, May 31, 2012 at the City of San Luis – Council Chambers, 1090 East Union Street, San Luis, AZ.  A call to the public for comments will be held on the draft YMPO 2013 Unified Work Program and Budget at this meeting.

A copy of the draft 2013 Unified Work Program and Budget is available for inspection during normal business hours, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday through Thursday, at the YMPO, 502 S. Orange Avenue, Yuma, Arizona or on the YMPO website www.ympo.org. YMPO will accept comments on the proposed draft program for 30 days from the date of this notice. Comments may be sent to YMPO 502 S. Orange Avenue, Yuma, Arizona 85364 to the attention of the Executive Director, Charlene FitzGerald, or email ympo@ympo.org.
